wait, that's not how the jingle goes, is it.....oh well.
This recession has really hit everyone where it hurts. Unfortunately, the Folgers plant that has been a presence in the downtown area of Kansas City is closing. they are moving production the the New Orleans plant.
Within this next year around 50 people will be laid off. The numbers will keep dwindling until the summer of 2012 when the plant will idle entirely.
This plant has been a staple of Kansas City for the past 50 years at least. What is going to take it's place??
I was pretty sad for KC residents when I read about that. However, I feel pretty lucky that I, too, am relocating to New Orleans after graduating...how's that for coincidence?
